Northern California Wedding Planner | Finding Gratitude in Growth

It’s Thanksgiving week and we have a heck of a lot to be thankful for, in and out of wedding land. Over the course of the 2019 wedding season our team assisted 28 incredible couples down the aisle and worked with amazing wedding creatives on every detail across the board. We learn and grow with every single wedding and event that we are a part of so we know that we get to carry that wisdom and value into 2020!

The 530 Bride has grown so much from the very first inspiration blog posted in 2011, fast forward to today where our team of planners get to collaborate together on events all over Northern California! We continually work on furthering our education and knowledge in this industry, as well as striving to create a wonderful place to work.

We want to also share that after many years of watching from afar - we have finally ventured into becoming a vendor in Real Weddings Magazine. This is significant for us because we can see the amazing collective of professional wedding creatives and also the tremendous passion that Real Weddings Magazine has for the local region. Can you say swoon?! Wow Dianna was absolutely stunning and we still can’t get over all of the beautiful floral elements by Little Red Hen Floral & More that took this fall wedding to the next level. Beyond the beautiful decor, there is a much deeper connection to this wedding story as Diana & Marcus were forced to make many changes in their lives and wedding plans due to the Campfire. These days with Pinterest and Instagram giving us so many visual directions couple’s can have a hard time pin-pointing their design ideas and then sourcing them. As planners we will always want to encourage our couples to choose focal points and then build the design around those elements so that you can maximize your budget. If the bar is important to the couple, let’s build a focal point around the bar and incorporate details that we can integrate throughout the design to keep things cohesive.

If you have followed us on Instagram you can see we love a good sweetheart table design so when we saw this beautiful navy velvet settee we had to add it to our growing inventory of specialty items!

We’ll also be adding two new bars for both rental and bar service options so that couples have choices in colors and style to match their design aesthetic. Pictured below is the debut of our white Moxie Bar!

We truly can’t get enough of these highlights from Faren & Dana’s wedding at Bella Rosa Farms in Durham. This fall wedding perfection wasn’t just made of pretty things, but wonderful people who came together to honor this amazing couple as they said I Do officially! We are beyond thankful to have built relationships with our clients and their families where we have gotten to know them on a level that is deeper than a timeline and floor plan but we look around and can feel the love amongst their families. We may or may not have teared up more than once at this one!

Northern California Wedding Planner | Whitney Peak Hotel Wedding ~ Megan & Zach

Life can throw you a curve ball that you weren’t expecting but it is what you do with it that counts! Megan and Zach are serious #couplegoals for their ability to smile through it all even when feeling the stress of needing to change their wedding venue from Argentina to the states in just a matter of months. We were mesmerized by their courage to have an international wedding in the first place, surely a party that would have been for the books but what they focused on was family - and that is the most memorable element of your day!

Our role with Megan & Zach was a little unique because we created a virtual/remote planning package in order to assist with both the Argentina details and assisting guests in the states. We loved the process of researching cultures, accommodations & travel details for Argentina and to hear about the day-to-day lives while Megan & Zach were living abroad. Once they were stateside and had gotten to a good place with Megan’s father’s health we were able to help switch gears and research possible venues in the surrounding areas with availability and the perfect amenities to meet their needs. Megan found the wonderful gem Whitney Peak Hotel and the rest fell came together beautifully!

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed delicious appetizers and drinks while Megan & Zach finished up photos, we loved that Worldlove Films captured the reception details so beautifully from the decor, to the meal & of course dancing!

Northern California Wedding Planner | Rustic Outdoor Ranch Wedding ~ Delphine & David

If you’ve followed us on Instagram over the last year you may have seen that our very own Delphine was a bride herself, and as a wedding planner it brings a different challenge. Imagine planning 20+ weddings and still being able to keep your own wedding planning on track! Well, we joke because when David proposed to Delphine it took her about a week to have most things planned, but we all know that there is still a lot of communication that is required to plan a wedding especially on ranch property with over 300 guests. We’re excited that Delphine and David’s big day was featured on one of our favorite blogs, Love and Lavender!

Northern California Wedding Planner | Historic Covered Bridge Wedding ~ As seen on Lovely Day Journal

No matter how much time passes, we could go back in our minds to the specific details of a past wedding day from the planning sessions, emails, floorplans, to getting the wedding party lined up and sending them down the aisle for their ceremony! We remember these moments because it feels like such a gift to experience them, and to share them with our couples.

This June wedding was one for the books as far as warm weddings go, but I can’t think of a single guest that I didn’t see out on the dance floor having an amazing time because Nerissa and Quinn were absolutely enjoying their day! We love to see weddings featured especially when the couples can share details and some of the story behind each element that made their day so special. When we received an email late last year from one of our brides after her wedding letting us know that her sister was also getting married soon, we were just over the moon for the opportunity to help this amazing family celebrate another beautiful wedding. Northern California Wedding Planner | IronGate Garden Inn Wedding Venue

Chico’s newest wedding venue Irongate Garden Inn is officially booking weddings for the 2019 & 2020 season and we couldn’t be more thrilled that we will be spending a lot more weekends there planning amazing weddings. Owners Krista and Neal worked so hard to make this property perfect for weddings and they took the time to connect with the local wedding professionals to gain feedback on what our couples need. We wanted to show you some of our favorite elements of the venue!

The stone courtyard has given us #allthefeels since the first time I walked through the property and I just knew that wedding magic was going to happen here. In fact this courtyard has seen many weddings under former management years ago, but what is most amazing is that Krista and Neal have brought it back to shine even brighter than its’s former glory.

The beautiful landscaping and paths around the property make you feel as if you are in the secret garden tucked away, and what better for a first look photo! We were honored to plan the first official wedding at Iron Gate Garden Inn, photos captured by Samantha McPherrin Photography
