We get to work in a lot of beautiful spaces throughout our season, but every time we see Wolfe Heights listed as the venue on our inquiry we do a little happy dance! Today we are highlighting some of our favorite aspects of the venue.

Wolfe Heights is located in Sacramento and features stunning grounds with an onsite winery, olive orchard, gorgeous estate house + bridal suite for the bridal party, pond & willow tree with paths surrounding the ceremony and reception spaces. Every angle is picture perfect!

You can take the most luxurious shuttle over to the olive orchard grove for your couple’s portraits and then come back over to join your cocktail hour with your guests while the sun goes down and the glow of the market lights gives the romantic vibe you dreamed of.

Another element that we love about Wolfe Heights is that any color palette works beautifully in the space, as anything can pair well with the classic greenery surrounding the property that offers the perfect focal points. Every gallery we look through has us falling in love even more!

When we first met with Jyla and Andrew (AJ) to start on the details for their spring wedding, we loved that the focus was on bringing their family together and enjoying the celebration. Every planning session it was clear they were a united front who communicated well and cared deeply about the other’s opinion. We’d joke about AJ getting extra brownie points because he came prepared with questions, ideas and listened actively about the details. Northern California Wedding Planner | Stay at Home & Stay Well

This week we’ve seen the funny #quarantine memes on social media from people getting pretty creative while staying home to flatten the curve of rising cases of COVID-19. The strength in our community to adapt and support small businesses while practicing distancing has been inspiring; we all have friends and family who we know are on the essential front lines. Friends, we wish we could know when we will have normalcy again.

The wedding industry across the globe has taken a dramatic turn as we help couples find alternative dates this fall or in 2021, leaving big questions about wedding insurance & how to move forward for those who decide to cancel. Our team can’t wait to be together again creating beautiful events but for now we have halted all meetings/site visits and will work remotely from our homes. We miss all of our couples & wedding friends!

We want couples to know that it is still ok to be excited about your wedding, to want to create beautiful centerpieces and to dream about your first dance. This won’t last forever but it does require all of us to do our part which means that bridal showers, bachelor/bachelorette parties, hair trials, cake tastings and more will be impacted. For those who have a wedding in 2020 and are holding out hope to keep your date, we want to hold out right alongside you but also have a plan B in place with an alternate date that works for all of your vendors. To date, we have been able to successfully move dates while retaining the vendors for close to 20 spring weddings and we know that it is an emotional situation for every one of those couples.

Take the time that you need to press pause on things that are out of your control and give yourself some grace to not have all of the answers on what happens next. Taking that pressure off may help you to also connect with your partner and focus on getting through these next few weeks under the shelter at home order. Who knows maybe you’ll discover a new hobby together! If you need a shoulder or a life line of someone to call - we’re here for any couple who just needs to vent.

Being days away from 2020 we know that a wedding party is no longer tied to old traditions and is instead there to support you and enjoy in the celebration with you. If we can avoid having your wedding party or family feel like they need to work at your wedding then even better because they’ll be focused on being by your side.

The sweetest gift is when we see siblings, friends, and members in the wedding party stepping forward to encourage the couple to at the bare minimum hire a coordination team if not full planning. Having referrals from past clients, their family members and wedding party means that absolute world to us because we know that we were able to contribute to everyone having nothing to stress over on the wedding day.

To those who have been searching high and low for a day-of-coordinator, you may notice that the wedding industry as a whole has shifted the terminology (rightfully so) to a more accurate term of “Wedding Management” because ..well “day-of-coordination” just doesn’t exist. When we come out for a site walk to your venue or property typically 4-6 months in advance to look at the layout & logistics (power, parking, vendor access, signage) we are looking at all of the moving parts and details that need to be cohesive in order to have a successful wedding weekend. This doesn’t happen when someone is handed some notes and a clipboard 24 hours or even weeks in advance.

Over 8 years of planning we have stepped in to many different scenarios and though most everything is correctable (changing rental or floral qty., making sure there are cake plates and extra forks, double checking ice for the bar & water for guests, managing the shuttle schedule and keeping hair and make-up running on time) we know that we save our clients time and most certainly money because we are looking at the bigger picture. Northern California Wedding Planner | Finding Gratitude in Growth

It’s Thanksgiving week and we have a heck of a lot to be thankful for, in and out of wedding land. Over the course of the 2019 wedding season our team assisted 28 incredible couples down the aisle and worked with amazing wedding creatives on every detail across the board. We learn and grow with every single wedding and event that we are a part of so we know that we get to carry that wisdom and value into 2020!

The 530 Bride has grown so much from the very first inspiration blog posted in 2011, fast forward to today where our team of planners get to collaborate together on events all over Northern California! We continually work on furthering our education and knowledge in this industry, as well as striving to create a wonderful place to work.

This fall wedding perfection wasn’t just made of pretty things, but wonderful people who came together to honor this amazing couple as they said I Do officially! Northern California Wedding Planner | Lone Oak Longhorn Ranch Styled Shoot ~ Sneak Peeks

It feels good to stretch your wings from time to time! In the wedding industry, we collaborate together in order to produce “styled” shoots or inspirational designs in order to stretch our wings creatively. This process involves networking with new wedding pros and artists, suppliers, models etc that have a similar desire to create something magical. Styled shoots can take many forms and can focus on the location itself, a new design trend or even a photo editing style.

In this case, the opportunity came about when Claire Nicole Photography reached out to us to invite us to participate in a styled shoot to promote the gorgeous new venue Lone Oak Longhorn Ranch in Marysville. This property is beyond words inside and out, and we can’t wait to share! We have a few sneak peeks for ya while we wait for the rest of the goodies from Claire!

Have you ever met two people that are so pure and beautiful, inside and out? This intimate backyard wedding of 7 people was simple, elegant, and meaningful. This my friends, is why wedding planning is such a beautiful career. 

North Bloom impressed us again with stunning arrangements throughout the entire venue. Becca's gorgeous bouquet complimented her contagious smile, and simple dress from Lulus.com. 

Katelyn Owens Photography captured these blooms perfectly (as always) and created memories for Becca and Blake that will last forever. From photographing very personal moments, to happy moments, we were in awe.

Northern California Wedding Planner | Let's Talk About Being Engaged In 2018!

Did you just get engaged over the holidays?

If so, which I am guessing that is why you've decided to click this blog post, congratulations! Being recently engaged myself, I understand the stress that comes with planning a wedding. Yes, I still feel it even though I'm a wedding planner!

Today on the blog, we're going to be sharing some of our top New Years resolutions for those of you who are engaged! Our main advice: ENJOY every moment; it's such a special time in your life!

1. Keep A Positive Attitude
Of all people, I know what it's like to have to make several decisions at once, but it's for your special day so you shouldn't take it as a negative thing! Remember that sometimes less is more! Are you a couple who wants to go above and beyond with florals? Or how about the food? Staying in a positive mindset will help you make these hard decisions. But of course, we're here to lead you through them.

2. Take Care Of Yourself
This is really important, but i'm sure you've seen this tip on all of the blogs that you've been to such as The Knot, Ruffled Blog, etc. But this is coming from me, Delphine, the one who is going to MAKE your special day happen. Since I am a wedding planner, and not a personal nutritionist... my biggest advice is to remember that your gut health will ultimately change, not only your appearance, but also your mental health! This goes hand in hand with my last tip. Mental health turns into positivity, which turns into a more confident you on your wedding day. 

3. Choose The Perfect Date
This is a biggie. I'm sure that you know that there are holidays pretty much every single month out of the year. So keep in mind that people make plans on 4 day weekends, especially during the spring and summer months. Obviously if a date is calling your name, then go for it. But remember that aunt Kathy may not be able to make it on that particular weekend due to a hot dog eating contest... or something? Whichever date you choose with your significant other, make sure you're both happy with it!

4. Stay Within Your Budget
This is another big tip I have for you. Remember when you and your significant other were talking about a budget for your future wedding even before you were engaged? Yeah, I've been there too... and now I officially have to back off on a lot of my choices! So learn from me and look at your budget, decide what the most important aspect of your wedding is, and start asking for quotes! 

5. Enjoy Each Other
This may seem like a given, but a lot of couples get so wrapped up in the planning process that they forget they're even getting married! Take a step back, and ask your significant other their input. Take them to appointments! Even if they seem like they don't care, they really do. Even if it's the color scheme of your wedding!
